Our client is a lobal leader in metal coating and painting for the building and construction industry providing innovative and durable steel products.

This position involves working as part of a five-person team on a steel processing line where sheet metal is cut into precision slits. The role combines console (machine) operation with hands-on manual tasks. Full training will be provided on machine operation and process requirements.

Working hours: Sunday- Thursday 9:54PM-6AM

Pay rate: $ 42

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively within a five-person team on a steel slitting/processing line
  • Operate production consoles and machinery (training provided)
  • Assist with setting up slitting wheels and positioning them across the bar to cut sheet metal to specified widths
  • Perform manual handling tasks including lifting, moving, and positioning equipment and materials
  • Monitor the production process to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with site standards

Key Requirements

  • Great attitude is essential
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation is preferred but not essential
  • Strong ability to learn and follow production processes
  • Good reading, comprehension, and basic mathematical skills
  • Physically capable of performing frequent manual handling, lifting, squatting, and repetitive tasks
  • Previous night shift experience is preferred
  • Crane and forklift licences are not required but would be highly desirable
